Hiring Practices:
We believe in keeping employees fully informed about our policies, procedures, practices, benefits, what employees can expect from the company and the obligations assumed as an employee of Metro Special Police & Security Services. This practice is designed to provide fair treatment of employees.
All candidates for employment must fully complete , date and sign the company's standard employment application form. It is the policy of Metro Special Police to request information from a prospective employee's previous employer in order to obtain the prospective employee's work record as it pertains to his or her application for employment. In order to comply with federal government regulations regarding discrimination, it is necessary to compile and maintain detailed information on each formal candidate for employment and those who are hired. This information will include the candidate's sex, race and veteran status.
Metro is committed to employing U.S. Citizens and aliens who are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not lawfully discriminate on the basis of citizenship or national origin. As a condition of employment, each new hire must complete Section 1 of Form I-9 and present original documents in order to establish identity.
Medical examinations and/or drug testing may be required on a random basis during the course of employment or subsequent to hiring as a special police officer. Metro employs a Zero-Tolerance for drug or alcohol abuse relative to employment.
Motor vehicle records are required for any employee required to drive company vehicles. Driving records and criminal records must be clean with regards to serious infractions, driving charges as pursuant to our own internal policy.

A standard policy and procedure manual is provided and signed-off by each new hire or employee.
