About Metro Special Police & Security

Metro Special Police, Public Safety and Security Services has been proudly servicing the North and South Carolina areas since 1991 and currently employs officers that work in the Charlotte-Metro area, Wilmington and Raleigh, North Carolina as well as Charleston, SC. Recognizing the need for specific level of security for business owners and community leaders, the vision and goals of Metro was established on the premise to offer a service that would encompass and support several concerns of security. Metro has always subscribed to a twenty-four hour communications and dispatch center to offer a professional dispatcher to take a customer’s telephone call and to qualify the need of that customer. Our philosophy has not changed since early 1991 to this date Metro has increased its communications and dispatch center to receive calls for emergency special police or guard services, monitoring of business and residential alarm systems, access control and fire systems, medical, hold up alarms, and wireless video camera technology. We have embarked and now provide property wide wireless video surveillance, that Metro can remote monitor in real time 24 hours of your property or facility.

Our goal is to obtain the very best technology to integrate and support our special police, public safety and security officers who are contracted and assigned to patrol, respond to your property, alarm systems and often in critical security issues. Metro has also integrated the most current and state of art GPS technology that offers maximum tracking capabilities of the patrol officer and his vehicle whether they are together or separated due to the nature of the call for service.

Officers serving in areas outside of the local communication and dispatch center are equipped with voice radio over IP and they have immediate and direct contact with the Charlotte – Metro dispatch center. Officer responding to calls for services have support of the 24/7 dispatch center and local police in those jurisdiction to support the Metro officers. The dispatch center has automated reporting for most serviceable accounts through our CAD system as well as service emails that direct each customer to our dispatch center for security requests and appropriate documentation.
